ALL KIDDING ASIDE...................................
One of the things that brings us such pleasure in our horses is that each one has it's own unique personality. We thought you might enjoy seeing Amy flaunting her unusual habit. She hates hot weather and flies, not necessarily in that order, and has discovered that a dip in the pond relieves both problems. She usually takes a dip 4 or 5 times a day in the summer, and seems to enjoy lazing in the pond for long periods of time. When we dug our pond and saw Amy in it for the first time, it was a frightening experience since we assumed that she was stuck in the freshly dug clay and seeing her nose under water, we thought she was drowning. It was a horrifying thought to think she would die before we could figure a way to get her out. But upon our racing to the bank, she casually strolled out and drenched us when she shook the excess water off. Amy now lives in South Carolina at Gray Shadow Farm.

************Loch Ness Monster Legend************

Scotland is famous the world over for the mysterious "creature" of Loch Ness.

We've all heard of the sightings, and probably everyone has seen the photos. The first sighting was recorded in 565 A.D. and there have been countless other sightings throughout the years. Tourists have flocked to Loch Ness in hopes of catching a glimpse of the legendary "Nessie". Several descriptions have been given of Nessie, with several observers describing the creature as looking somewhat like a horse. Numerous attempts have been made to film Nessie underwater and without a doubt, these missions have confirmed that there is something living in Loch Ness. Is it possible that a mysterious creature could elude all scientific attempts to prove beyond a doubt that it truly does exist? Thoughts of such a creature fuels the imagination and I, for one, have a very active imagination. I believe that there are probably many creatures as yet undiscovered or unidentified. Haven't we all wondered, at some time, about the Yetti, and yes, Nessie?..................

We talked about having a pond for several years before we finally dug one in 1995. Can you imagine our shock when we looked out one day and discovered we had our own creature poking it's head up out of the water?......................
